Food was pretty good. Located in a strip mall. Don’t let the location put you off. Food is pretty good. We went for lunch. They offer a variety of lunch specials and a full menu. Plenty of options got everyone. Unsweetened tea was pretty good too. Would recommend if you are craving Japanese food.

Went for the first time the other night and boy were we impressed!!! The sushi was the best we've had in New Bern, no question!!! We had the sushi for 2 and it was fantastic! Beautifully done with fresh, expertly cut fish. The cherry bomb roll that was included was a delicious surprise. Our server was very welcoming, attentive and efficient. She was happy to heat up our Saki and decant it (the restaurant supplies). So BYOB or should I say BYOS 😊. Going back soon.

If I could give this establishment more than five stars for service I would! Our wonderful server Amanda was beyond amazing! She was so personable and just all around great at what she does. The food was great! We ordered 6 different rolls and all of them were delicious! The “mango love” roll was so fresh and refreshing however was slightly disappointed that it was only 3 pieces. I will definitely be returning to try some of the other specialty rolls as everything we had was delicious and the services was perfect!

Finally! Best sushi so far of all the ones I'd been to in New Bern. Ordered a shrimp tempura roll, a spicy California roll, and veggie tempura. The sushi rice was prepared correctly. The tempura batter is light as it should be. Will try the hibachi the next time.

the waitress was such a lovely soul. she reccomended things to me and added spicy mayo to the thing I wanted, no problem. my food was so yummy, and I highly reccomend them. it was a very relaxing place to eat. I have no doubt in my mind that any of their sushi would be phenomenal. also! I'm not usually a fan of ginger but their ginger dressing for the salad changed my mind. not to mention they have fair prices!!

First time dining here. I was impressed, they had a solid menu of unique rolls. I tried several and 2 apps. Spicy Crab Salad Tuna Nuggets Fantastic Roll Angry Dragon Roll Tuna Hand Roll Crab Crunch Roll +spicy mayo The crab salad was exceptional. The tuna nuggets (No rice) were also excellent. Prices were very reasonable! When in New Bern again, this will be on the repeat list.

Visiting New Bern for the first time and craving sushi, we Googled hoping to find a sushi place that didn't disappoint. Ginza Japan popped up as one of the top rated ones. So we gave it a shot. Amanda quickly guided us through the menu and gave us suggestions on what to get. The first day we visited during lunch time and it wasn't that crowded but dinner time is a totally different story! The place is small but can get really busy. The food tastes fresh. The sushi is spot on. Great flavor and reasonably prices. I personally loved spicy girl roll, lover roll and the angel roll. My partner got spring rolls and thw rock and roll sushi roll, he also got sushi mi and sushi. Their miso soup is fire too. We ended up going 4 times in 1 week!! Just give it a call to check how busy it is, so you don't have to wait.... Highly recommend!

Okay sushi joint. Was very pleased with the thickness and quality of the sashimi for the price. However the spicy tuna is not fresh in the slightest, probably the most flavorless and mouth drying sushi I’ve ever eaten… didn’t know you could mess up such a basic roll with only one ingredient… Loved that some of their entrees come with miso soup and salad
